Alaska Location Guide...
It's no secret Alaska is STUNNING!!
And there is so many beautiful places to take photos at! Here's a little guide I put together to help you decide what location you might be interested in. I am always down to shoot at a new spot, so if you have a location in mind, let's chat about it! :)
*Disclaimer* I cannot guarantee a certain outcome-things like time of year & weather can change spots a lot, so please keep that in mind when planning a location! It may not turn out exactly like photos below...
Flattop
Such an insane mountain range in background as you can see! It's a short "hike" to this spot from the parking lot, so great for accessibility!

Eagle River Nature Center
A beautiful spot tucked away in Eagle River along the river. Forest, mountains, water, wild flowers, what more do you need? Walking on a gravel/dirt path is required for this session, just a heads up. I usually have people park in the lower parking lot to save some walking time.

Reflections Lake
A short walk from the parking lot is this beautiful lake! And if we walk more along the trails we can get to a stunning mountain viewpoint & lots of forest area! I love the variety of this spot without having to walk miles.

Bird Creek
Such a stunning spot along the Turnagain Arm that doesn't feel real! The space works best for a mini session or 1 location in a longer session with multiple locations, because there's not many different spots to shoot at (just either side of the river & the bridge that goes across). It's a nice & short 5min paved walk to this spot from the parking lot. *Must be ok walking on large rocks*

Such a beautiful, diverse area! One side has an overlook of the mountains, & lots of trails weaving in the woods with spots to stop & take photos at!

Virgin Creek Falls
A 0.4 mile wooded trail to a stunning waterfall in the heart of Girdwood. The forest has a magical mossy feel! Also, outside the trailhead is a rustic bridge over the river for another great photo spot.

Matanuska River Park
The iconic bridge overlooking the Matanuska River! Some amazing mountains in the background & such a fun location! (not pictured, but also an opportunity to get closer to the river & walk along the trails at the park)

Eklutna Lake
A STUNNING, well-known lake surrounded by mountains! It truly screams "Alaska". It is a drive from Anchorage, but if you are down, so am I! ;)
*Heads up, this place can be muddy, so keep that in mind when choosing shoes to wear. There also isn't any service in this spot.

Mann Leiser Memorial Greenhouse
A fun & unique photo spot that's great if it's in the middle of winter! Come in, breathe some fresh air, & take some cute photos in the greenhouse!

Tonsina Point Trail-outside of Seward
An absolutely magical spot (this is for the longer adventure sessions because it's a 1.4 mile hike through stunning woods out to the beach spot) There are so many amazing places to stop & take photos along the way! It truly feels like a fairytale with the moss hanging from the trees!
$100 travel fee for this location (it's a 4.5 hour drive for me from Anchorage)
Homer
A super cute coastal town with so much charm! A rocky beach, wildflowers in the summer, a swing under the pier-what more could you want?!
$150 travel fee for this location (it's an 8 hour + drive for me from Anchorage, but you know I'm always down for the adventure)
Cooper Landing
This is a great diverse photo spot, you can get multiple different "looks" from 1 location! A boardwalk, forested path to beautiful mountains just across the Kenai Lake, a big bridge, big rocks to sit on! The there's this clump of trees in the middle of the parking lot that is gorgeous when the light shines through.
$80 travel fee for this location (it's about a 2 hour drive for me from Anchorage)
